NZ 2433 6419: Town Wall (NR) (1)

NZ 248 636: Break Neck Stairs (Remains of) (2-3)

Wall 2.4 metres wide with a maximaum height of 2.3 metres to the west. Overgrown and in poor condition. (4)

Town wall, late 13th to early 14th century. Grade 1. (5)

NZ 248 637: Wall in good condition. Correct extant positions, 2 metres wide and 5 metres wide to 7.6 metres high, have been delineated.

NZ 248 638 and NZ 248 636: Two turrets between Denton and White Friars Towers. No remains.

NZ 247 638 and NZ 248 638: Two turrets between Denton and West Spital Towers. No remains.

NZ 247 638 and NZ 248 638: Two turrets between West Spital and Stank Towers. No remains.

NZ 246 638 and NZ 245 639: Two turrets between Stank Tower and Gunner Tower. No remains.

NZ 245 639 and NZ 244 639: Forth Gate and a turret (sites off between Gunner and Pink Towers. No remains.

NZ 243 641: Turret (remains of) one of two between Durham and Herber Towers. Overhanging wall resting on seven corbells on North East face.

NZ 243 642: Black Friars Postern. Blocked doorway with segmented arch. Town wall with Morden, Heber and Ever Towers. Blocked postern door fomerly allowed Dominicans to their land outside the wall. Grade 1. (5)

NZ 243 642: Turret (remains of). See photograph of Turret 'A'. Good condition.

NZ 2442 6433: Turret (remains of). See photograph of Turret 'B'. Good condition.

NZ 2446 6438 and NZ 2448 6440: Two turrets (remains of) between Ever and Andrew Towers. Wall in good condition, eleven corbells at south west end and fifteen at the north east end may be remains of turrets or may have carried a parapet walk.

NZ 245 644: Turret (remains of) between Andrew Tower and New Gate. Incorporated in modern building. See photograph of Turret 'C'.

NZ 245 644: Wall rebuilt on a later line than the original.

NZ 246 644: Two turrets between New Gate and Monboucher Towers. No remains.

NZ 253 641: Turret between Pandon Gate and Gunner Tower. Eight corbells on the inner face at NZ 2534 6415 may be either the remains of the turret or have carried a parapet walk.

Towers. No remains.

NZ 252 642 to NZ 252 644: Four turrets between Austin and Plummer Towers. No remains.

NZ 251 644 to NZ 250 645: Two turrets between Plummer and Carliol Towers. No remains.

NZ 250 645 to NZ 249 644: Three turrets between Pilgrim Gate and Carliol Tower. No remains. (6)

NZ 2438 6426: Newcastle upon Tyne town defences. Section of curtain wall containing Ever, Morden and Heber towers, two towers and two sections of town ditch. The monument is situated between St Andrews Street and Bath Lane and runs parrallel to Stowell Street. This section of the town defences represents part of the western side of the circuit and includes a 214 metres upstanding section of the curtain wall, three towers and remains of two turrents and two posterns. Outside the wall there is a berm and ditch. The latter is partially visible as an earthwork since a limited excavation and display in the late 1980s. Scheduled. (7)
