1809 wreck of English troop ship which stranded on Black Head, after an earlier grounding. Homeward bound to Falmouth from Corunna with soldiers and horses, she was a wooden sailing vessel, and was lost on the same day, almost and the same time, and very close to, HMS PRIMROSE [919157]. The victims of both shipwrecks are buried and commemorated in the Church of St. Keverne [427386]. See record 1603032 for the site of a cannon which may have come from the DISPATCH.
