BESCOT HALL

Manor house with a licence to crenellate granted in 1345. The house was recorded in documentary sources in 1672 but demolished in the 18th century. The site is now used as playing fields, and no remains are visible. A kitchen garden associated with the house was found during excavations in 1989.
