ASKHAM HALL

Large house, with a 14th century pele tower, altered circa 1700, as its south wing. The north wing is also 14th century in date, though the chapel within is 15th century. The hall between these two wings was built in the 16th century, as were the service ranges. The kitchen wing is also 16th century, though incorporating some medieval fabric in its north end. The northern range was added circa 1700. The house was altered in the 20th century.
