RICHMONT CASTLE.

A Medieval castle mentioned during the reign of Stephen (in 1138), noted in documents of the 1340s and destroyed by Sir John Newton during the reign of King Henry VIII. Parts of the curtain wall survives for a length of 30 metres and in places it is 3 metres thick and 2.2 metres high. Scheduled.
