CHAMBERHOUSE FARMHOUSE

Farmhouse on the site of a medieval manor house and chapel. A licence to crenellate the house and empark 300 acres (SU 56 NW 37) was granted in 1446 and a chapel is recorded on the site in 1530 and again in the late 17th century. The present house dates from the late 18th century and is two storeyed and brick-built with a late 19th century extension to the rear.
