(SU 64651501) Manor House [GT] (1)

Manor Farm - a 13th c stone-built house shaped like a church with
nave and narrower chancel, but always divided into two storeys,
the lower used for storage. The remains of a three-bay arcade
on the ground floor are still visible externally on the S side,
and there are two remaining square-headed medieval windows to the
upper floor, one on the S side and the other on the N side of the
"chancel" wing. The "chancel" may well have contained a domestic
chapel. Other windows are square-headed Tudor insertions. There
is a large N wing, probably Tudor, its E facade is half timbered,
but its W facade is Victorian and now forms the main frontage
of the house. (2)

Manor Farm, is as described, and in good condition. (3)

Manor Farm. Medieval stone-built house (C 12) with late medieval timber-framed wing, extended and raised on a timber frame in the C 16 and C 17, with C 17 and mid C 19 refronting of part, and minor renovation. Grade II*. (4)
