DESCRIPTION

An Anglo Saxon hlaew or burial mound. The mound measures 30m in diameter and stands up to 2.8m high. It is constructed of stone and turf. Its profile is now irregular due to disturbance by burrowing animals and natural erosion.

A well-preserved round barrow 350 ft in circumference by 9 ft high,
on the summit of a hill. (2)

Scheduled as a castle mound. (3)

This is a bell-barrow, or possibly a slumped bowl-barrow, not a
castle mound. The mound is 2.1m high and 30.0m across including a
berm 5.0m wide and 0.6m high: there is no surrounding ditch visible.
