DESCRIPTION

Possible site of moated manor house and fishponds. The site is now occupied by a 19th century farmhouse and there are no traces of the earlier building. Two arms of the moat survive, along with four fishponds to the south and the remains of a possible outer moat.

For fishponds and other earthworks in the vicinity of the Manor House see air photo. (2-3)

Manor Farm, on this site, is 19th c. with no visible remains of an earlier building; two sides of a small enclosing moat survive. These, and four regular fishponds to the south, are in turn, enclosed by remains of an old, broad ditch on two sides and deep modern drainage on the others; probably once a complete outer moat.
