The site of the Court House, Luton, a large square moated mansion documented by Leland, is also the probable site of a castle built in 1221 by Faulke de Brent.

The court house was owned by the Rotherhams in 1611 and referred to by Leland in 1540. (2)

Indicated site falls under late C19th tenement houses scheduled for demolition. (3)
