Possible 18th century ornamental mound or Medieval motte in the grounds of Down Hall. Field investigations in 1976 found it to be oval in plan, 31.5 metres long, 28 metres wide and 1.6 metres high, with outer ditch 4 metres wide and 0.5m deep. An icehouse has been built into the north side of the mound, only the walls of the vault remain.
