ST BARTHOLOMEWS CHAPEL

Benedictine priory cell founded circa 1115, dissolved circa 1538; dependent on Westminster. No monastic buildings appear to have been erected; the priory house was demolished in 1779 but the early 15th century chapel remains, now used as a barn.
