"Hill Farm TM 08156340. Following the discovery of 13th/14th century potsherds, excavations were carried out on a moat-enclosed mound". (1)

Ipswich Museum for whom the excavation was conducted, do not classify the feature, but note the pottery as from the surface of the mound and the old turf line beneath it. Situated on marginally high ground, it has now been completely destroyed by ploughing. No further finds were made on field investigation. From its topographical position and appearance on OS 25" the mound was probably the site of a mill, though no local tradition survives.

Nothing is shown here on Bryant's Map of Suffolk (1826, 1" = 1mile), and the Tithe Map of 1846, where the field is called "Old
grass meadow", also shows nothing. (2)
