LAWKLAND HALL

Large house with late 16th century west wing and late 17th century hall, east wing and service range. Altered in the 18th century and restored 1912-14. Double ended hall plan, with a four storey staircase tower to the rear. Possibly incorporates the remains of a fortified house.
