DESCRIPTION

Building foundations documented in 1902 as lying to the NE of Healaugh Church, alleged to be those noted by Leland circa 1538 as the ruins of a manor house. No surface trace survives. Other earthworks in the vicinity (see SE 44 NE 39) may be part of this manorial complex.

The foundations to the NE of Healaugh churchyard were referred to by Leland c.1538 as the ruins of an ancient manor house. (2)

No visible remains of the manor house now exist. Its published site is a good natural defensive one. (3)

Area covered by dense scrub - no further information. (4)
