MONUMENT NO. 66382

Possible site of Callow Castle disused by c.1274. The remains are said to have been observed by Leland in about 1540. Field investigation in 1971 failed to find evidence for the castle. No further information was gained during an aerial photographic mapping survey by RCHME because the site is covered by trees on the available photographs.
