HALECROFT

Villa built in 1890, designed by Edgar Wood, now used for offices. Built of brick with ashlar dressings, render tile hanging and a red clay tile roof. A large two-storey detached house with attics, a single storey wing to the rear and a single storey 20th century extension to the right. An excellent example of Wood's earlier work largely expressing the ideals of the Arts and Crafts Movement and the vernacular revival.
