ROTHERHITHE PALACE

Moated manor house, which was developed as a royal residence by Edward III, was identified during excavations at Platform Wharf between 1985-1991. The building was extant during the 14th century. The excavations also located part of a 17th century Delftware pottery works, a Bronze Age and Iron Age ditch and finds including early Medieval pottery.
