MONUMENT NO. 921799

DESCRIPTION + /

A mound South-East of Croxall Church has been interpreted both as a Saxon burial mound and as a motte. Bones were found in it in the 18th century, but these may have been the result of an extension to the adjacent churchyard. It is now incorporated into a garden as an ornamental feature. The mound is 32 metres in diameter and 0.5 metres high. Scheduled.
